5 Classy Lady Quotes On Power
I remember growing up on Reader’s Digest as my mother subscribed to the famous magazine for many years. My favorite part was always the “Points to Ponder” section; it would feature quotes from famous people and excerpts from great works. Most of the quotes on power were short, consisting of only a sentence, but they were definitely not short on ideas. They really made you ponder and think.
Below are some quotes on power we collected, and they come from powerful and successful women in history. Some of them are already considered ‘household’ quotes as everybody knows them. I hope these inspiring quotes on power will make you ‘think’ a little, but more importantly, inspire you:
“Being powerful is like being a lady. If you’ve to tell people you are, you aren’t.”
–Margaret Thatcher
“When we consistently suppress and distrust our intuitive knowingness, looking instead for authority, validation, and approval from others, we give our personal power away.”
–Shakti Gawain
“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.”
– Alice Walker
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt
“Usually, when we think of power, we think of external power. And we think of powerful people as those who’ve made it in the world. A powerful woman isn’t necessarily someone who has money, but we think of her as someone with a boldness or a spark that makes her manifest in a dramatic way. When we think of a powerful man, we think of his ability to manifest abundance, usually money, in the world.
Most people say that a powerful woman does best with a powerful man, that she needs someone who understands the bigness of her situation, a man who can meet her at the same or even greater level of power in the world.
Now this is true, if power is defined as material abundance. A woman often faces cultural prejudice when she makes more money than a man, as does he. A woman who defines power by worldly standards can rarely feel totally relaxed in the arms of a man who doesn’t have it.
If power is seen as an internal matter, then the situation changes drastically. Internal power has less to do with money and worldly position, and more to do than with emotional expansiveness, spirituality and conscious living…
I used to think I needed a powerful man, someone who could protect me from the harshness and evils of the world. What I have come to realize is that…the powerful man I was looking for would be foremost, someone who supported me in keeping myself on track spiritually, and in so maintaining clarity within myself, that life would present fewer problems. When it did get rough, he would help me forgive.
I no longer wanted somebody who would say to me, “Don’t worry honey, if they’re mean to you I’ll beat them up or buy them out.” Instead, I want someone who prays and meditates with me regularly so that fewer monsters from the outer world disturb me, and who when they do, helps me look within my own consciousness for answers, instead of looking to false power to combat false power.”
–Marianne Williamson

14 Amazing Quotes on Money and Abundance
Do you want to know how to attract more wealth and abundance into your life? After Rhonda Byrnes’ ‘The Secret’ came out, more and more people became interested and drawn to the Law of Attraction ideology. While it’s considered by many circles that Wallace Wattles (The Science of Getting Rich) and Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich) are the fathers of LoA, it’s the more recent contribution of Abraham Hicks that is really helping propel this movement today. Abraham Hicks is a collaboration between husband and wife team Esther and Jerry Hicks (who passed away in 2011) and a group of beings named ‘Abraham’. They have published numerous books, a calendar workbook, and card decks and regularly host workshops in various states and countries that can be attended either in person or online. Below is a collection of quotes collected from various materials made by them. You can read them in one go or read one each day for 2 weeks:“There’s no better way to earn money than to do the things that you love to do. Money can flow into your experience through endless avenues. It isn’t the choice of the craft that limits the money that flows – but only your attitude toward money.”
“Anything that you’re wanting: don’t stand in the lack of it and lament that it isn’t there and expect it to come to you.It cannot. Find a little piece of it, a little string of it, a little trail of it, a little clue of it – look for something about it, and focus upon that little piece, and by Law of Attraction, watch it grow!”
“You cannot receive vibrationally something that you’re not a vibrational match to. And so, bless those who are finding abundance. And in your blessing of them and their abundance, you’ll become abundant too.”
“Shortage of time isn’t your problem. Shortage of money isn’t your problem. Shortage of connection to the Energy that creates worlds is at the heart of all sensations of shortage that you’re experiencing.”
“Take money out of the equation and, instead, acknowledge that you’ve access to a bank of Infinite Energy Flow. Now this Energy Flow will bring you things money won’t buy. It will bring you wellness, it’ll bring you exhilaration, it’ll bring you good experiences, it’ll bring you relationships, it’ll bring you fulfillment – it’ll bring you money, too!”
“Dollars aren’t the root of happiness, but they are not the root of evil either. They are the result of how somebody lines up the Energy.”
“You can feel good about the flower you’re looking at, or the ocean that you’re looking across, or about the smile upon the face of the child…you can be focused upon something like that and be feeling utter well-being. And in that moment of that basking, you’re attracting the dollars that you want, you’re attracting the abundance that you want, you’re attracting the mate that you want – you’re attracting whatever it’s that you want. It’s about vibrating and allowing, you see?
“If you’re feeling a shortage of time or money, your best effort would be to focus upon better-feeling thoughts, and do more things that make you feel good.”
“As you practice your more positive, better-feeling story, in time your pleasure will become the dominant vibration within you, and then as you couple your pleasure with your means of earning, the two will blend perfectly and enhance each other.”
